RainWind120 Privacy Policy
RainWind120 — Privacy Notice
Last updated: 4 November 2026
RainWind120 is provided by the developer.
Privacy contact: vainqueur.studio@outlook.com
This notice explains how RainWind120 handles information when you use the app on a compatible Garmin device.
Location and weather requests
RainWind120 uses your device’s GPS location to request local weather forecasts. When GPS is unavailable, it may use an available weather-observation location or a previously saved location.
Your coordinates and personal OpenWeather API key are sent to OpenWeather over HTTPS to obtain forecasts and weather warnings. These requests may pass through Garmin’s connectivity services and your paired phone.
OpenWeather receives the information needed to process those requests, including the requested coordinates, API key and connection information. Its handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy.
The developer does not operate an intermediary weather server or receive a copy of your weather requests.
Information stored on your device
RainWind120 stores information needed to operate, including:
- Your OpenWeather API key and app settings.
- The latest usable location and its source.
- Cached forecasts and weather warnings.
- Refresh times, retry information and a local API-call counter.
- Activation and licence information, where applicable.
Location is used for weather requests. The app does not create a route history.
Purchases and activation
For editions purchased through Garmin, Garmin handles the purchase and associated payment information.
The KiezelPay edition communicates with KiezelPay to manage trial status, purchase instructions and licence activation. This involves an app identifier, an account or installation token, device information and licensing information. Activation information is also stored locally.
Payment details are handled by the relevant payment service. RainWind120 does not collect or store your card details.
KiezelPay licensing does not apply to the Garmin Store Full edition.
Analytics and advertising
RainWind120 does not include developer-operated analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking. The developer does not sell your personal information.
Garmin, OpenWeather and payment providers may process information independently when you use their services.
Support
If you contact the developer, your email address, message and any screenshots or diagnostic files you provide are used to investigate and respond to your request.
Do not send your API key, passwords or payment details. Check diagnostic files and screenshots for personal information before sharing them.
Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request and related follow-up.
Your choices and deletion
You can remove your API key through the app’s settings and uninstall the app to remove its local app data. Uninstalling does not delete records held separately by Garmin, OpenWeather or KiezelPay.
You can revoke or replace your API key through your OpenWeather account. Requests concerning information held by third-party providers should be directed to those providers.
For questions or requests concerning information you have sent directly to the developer, contact vainqueur.studio@outlook.com.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the app’s information handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
